Store update
What on earth is going on?
On Tuesday 12th Jan 2026, after 8 long years in service, our main printing machine decided to unfortunately enter the machinery grave yard. He served us well, may his nozzles and rotary's rest in peace. š
This means we are currently in the process of raising funds for another, new one!
As a small business the economic climate has hit us hard over the past few years and as much as we'd like to say we have enough to invest in a new one without worry, that unfortunately is not the case.
OUR PLAN GOING FORWARD;
With the help of our loyal and loving community, our plan is to generate our own form of a 'crowd funder' from any new purchases on our store. We figured the best way to do this would be suggesting the purchase(s) of Gift Cards, which can be redeemed at a time that best suits you. If you prefer,Ā you can purchase anything else currently in stock but we cannot guarantee when their dispatch date will be.
Lots of wonderful people in our community have suggested enabling some form of 'tip jar'/'buy me a coffee' token (which we appreciate so much). We have this enabled at checkout, where you can choose whether to leave us a tip or not.
Alternatively if you'd prefer not to make a purchase but still want to help, you can leave a direct contribution to our PayPal account by clicking here or scanning the QR code at the bottom of the page.
Any new purchases of Gift Cards, items and tips we receive will be greatly received and go towards the funding of a new machine.
We would really appreciate spreading the word to family and friends, neighbours, social media, even the milk man! If you know of anyone who would be interested in the goods we create, please help us reach new people by sharing our name.
I completely understand right now Birdie Barn is asking a lot from our community and I must say it feels very strange operating in such a way. We hope to stay in business for many more years to come and refuse to allow this setback decide our future.
Finally,Ā Thank You. Without the support received from our community, I wouldn't even have had the courage to make this decision and speak so publicly regarding it. As someone who is hyper-independent, asking for help does not come naturally to me but a lesson has been learnt this past week, which is that not everything has to be done alone.
I would absolutely love to find a way to repay everyoneās kindness once this whole ordeal is over, so really welcome any ideas and will be regularly jotting down my own.
If you have any queries or concerns at all, please feel free toĀ contact usĀ and I will be more than happy to reply. (Just be sure to check those pesky junk boxes/spam folders!)
Thank you again and all my love,
-Sarah (Owner and Founder)
